We, the young people coming from several European Countries and the Mediterranean area,
these days gathered in the land of Apulia, after talking and walking together all night long towards a new
dawn of peace, we ask those who rule over our peoples to do their best not to make the Mediterranean a sea
of death for so many refugees who sail it for a better future, but let it become a sea of peace and unity
among peoples, crossed by bridges of solidarity and cooperation, a sea that for its geographical position
and cultural tradition could be enlivened by the waves of the meeting rather than menaced by the storms of
war.
